Cancellations

Please take care to verify the booking confirmation you receive from our software service Xola to make sure you are scheduled on the correct date and time, and contact us immediately if there is an error. Once purchased, charters cannot be refunded (except by inclement weather) because your time slot is being guaranteed and we have extremely limited availability on a short season. If you cannot attend your booked charter, you may transfer it to another party. Emergency reschedules may be accommodated subject to availability on a case-by-case basis if requested at least 2 weeks in advance.

We recommend arriving 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time of your trip. Please allow ample time for unanticipated traffic delays and parking. There are no refunds for no-shows or trips missed or shortened due to lateness. Directions to Montauk Yacht Club are available on our Contact page.

Weather

The Captain may cancel the charter in the event of inclement, severe, or unsafe weather conditions. If the chartered event must be canceled on account of weather, you will be allowed to reschedule the charter (subject to mutual availability) or receive a 100% refund at your option.

While the Captain is the person who decides whether a charter runs, we do not expect anyone to sail in the rain or otherwise miserable weather, and we will not send anyone out in unsafe conditions. Please note that cancellations are not made based on advance forecasts, only actual weather on the day of the charter. A merely cloudy day is not going to cancel a trip.
